What people come in for
What It Changes
Dehydrated, Dull Skin
Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water in the skin. This is the treatment whose first and most obvious effect is that your skin stops looking thirsty.
Fine Lines
Fine lines that come from the skin itself rather than from movement soften as hydration and quality improve.
Lost Firmness and Elasticity
Skin that has gone slack and lost its bounce. Improvement here is gradual and builds across the weeks after treatment.
Mild Laxity
Early laxity, where the skin has softened but the structure underneath is still sound. This is a skin treatment, not a lift.
Under-Eye Dark Circles
The delicate under-eye area, where polynucleotide and booster treatments can improve skin quality and the look of shadowing. This area swells and bruises more readily, and you should plan around that.
Neck, Chest, Hands and Arms
The places that give age away and get forgotten. Décolletage and hands respond particularly well.
The five-point face lift
Five Points, and Why Each One
Tap a point. The treatment takes its name from where it is placed, not from what it promises.
The Outer Cheeks
Points one and two, high and to the outside. These are what decide whether a face looks rested: hydration and firmness at the cheekbone improve everything under them without adding a millimetre of volume.
Along the Jaw
Points three and four, where the skin has started to lose its grip on the line of the jaw. Firmness and elasticity, not a lift, and it is honest to say so.
The Chin and the Mouth
Point five, for the fine lines that come from the skin rather than from movement, and the crepey texture make-up settles into.
What It Is Not
Not filler, not a facelift and not volume. A booster is distributed through the skin to improve its quality. If what you want is shape, you want something else, and you will be told so.
Five, Together
Placed so the improvement is even across the face rather than obvious in one place. That is what the name describes: where it goes, not what it promises.
Four areas, and the five points
Where It Is Used
The five points, and the reason the treatment has its name.
- Cheeks and mid-faceHydration and firmness where skin quality shows first.
- Around the eyesThe most delicate area treated here, and the one that swells most.
- Around the mouthFine lines that come from the skin rather than from movement.
- Jaw and lower faceFirmness and elasticity along the line of the jaw.
The place people look after for forty years and never treat.
- Crepey textureThin, finely lined skin that no cream has improved.
- Sleep creasesHorizontal lines that have stopped disappearing by lunchtime.
- Loss of firmnessEarly laxity, where the skin has softened but the structure is sound.
The area that gives age away in every photograph taken in summer.
- Sun damageYears of it, usually accumulated without noticing.
- Vertical chest linesThe creases that come from sleeping on your side.
- Dull, thin skinSkin quality here responds particularly well.
Rarely offered, and the giveaway nobody thinks about.
- Backs of the handsThinning skin, visible tendons and lost plumpness.
- Inner armsCrepey texture on skin that is almost never treated.

How it works
What a Skin Booster Is, and What It Is Not
A skin booster uses hyaluronic acid, the same family of material as dermal filler, but with an entirely different purpose. Filler is placed to give structure and shape. A booster is distributed through the skin to improve its quality: hydration, firmness, elasticity and radiance.
It will not change the shape of your face, add volume or lift anything. If that is what you want, you want filler, and you will be told so.
The 5-Point Face Lift
Treatment at five key points of the face, chosen to improve hydration, firmness and overall skin quality across the areas that matter most. The name describes the technique rather than the result. It is a skin rejuvenation treatment, not a substitute for surgery.
Polynucleotides
Where appropriate, specialist regenerative formulations including polynucleotides can form part of your plan, particularly for the under-eye area and for skin quality. Whether they are right for you is decided at consultation based on your skin, not on what is fashionable.
Who It Suits
Adults of any age whose skin has become drier, less firm, duller, less elastic or more textured. It is a common first treatment for people who have decided they do not want anything that changes how they look, and a common addition for people already having something else.
Afterwards
What Happens, and When
01 Straight after
Small Raised Bumps
Small bumps at the treatment points are normal and expected with boosters and polynucleotides. Redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising and small marks can all happen. Under-eye work can swell and bruise noticeably more.
02 First 24 hours
Leave It Be
Do not touch, rub or massage the area unless you have been specifically told to. Keep it clean. No strenuous exercise, no sauna, no steam room, and no other facial treatments until it has settled.
03 Days 2 to 7
It Settles
The bumps and puffiness resolve as the treated area settles. Bruising, if you get any, can take a week or so to clear completely.
04 Weeks 2 to 8
The Result You Came For
Hydration and radiance often show within days. Firmness, texture and overall skin quality keep improving over the following weeks. Many people hold their result for several months, with maintenance where appropriate.
Before you decide
Is This Right for You?
Tick anything that sounds like you. Nothing is recorded, and nothing here is a diagnosis: it is the conversation you would have in the room, started early.
Tick what applies and you will be told where that leaves you.

A consultation is carried out before treatment to establish whether skin boosters are appropriate for you and to agree your plan. Some people need one; others do better with a short course.

Questions People Ask
It varies with the product, your skin, your lifestyle and how you respond. Many people hold a result for several months, with maintenance treatments where they are worth having.
Most people describe it as very manageable. A topical anaesthetic and other comfort measures can be discussed where appropriate.
Some people do well with one. Others are advised to have a short course for the best result. That is decided after your skin is assessed.
Hydration and radiance often within the first few days. Firmness and overall quality continue improving over the following weeks.
Yes. Commonly with microneedling, dermaplaning, peels, filler or treatment for lines and wrinkles. Intervals are planned so nothing competes with anything else.
No, and it is important to be clear about that. It is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment for hydration and skin quality. It does not replicate what surgery does.
