Whitstable is the longest of the runs out to Charing, down the A299 and through the downs on the A251 or the A28. Far enough that it is a fair question whether it is worth it, so here is the honest version.
Whether the drive is worth it depends what you want
If you want a repeat of something straightforward you have had many times before, there will be somewhere closer to Whitstable and no real reason to come this far. That is a sensible thing to say out loud rather than pretend otherwise.
What is harder to find nearer is an unhurried half hour with one practitioner who assesses your whole face, tells you what to leave alone, and treats you herself afterwards. If you have had a result you were not happy with, or you have never had anything done and want the conversation before the treatment, that is what the drive is for.
Coastal skin is a different brief
Sun off the water, wind along the beach and salt air are not kind to skin, and a lot of what gets blamed on ageing around the coast is sun damage and texture instead. Pigmentation, broken capillaries, rough texture and a general dullness do not respond to filler, because filler is not what is wrong.
Peels start at 110 pounds and work on pigmentation and sun damage. Microneedling with dermaplaning is 90 a session for texture, pores, fine lines and scarring. PRP, which uses your own plasma, is 100. The 5-point skin booster at 175 works on hydration and firmness. Skin rejuvenation is Lindsay's particular interest, so this is the part of the list she will talk about longest.
Making one trip do more
Nobody is treated at a first appointment here, so coming from Whitstable means two journeys. Two ways to make that easier: ring 01233 225684 and talk it through before you book anything, so the consultation is not spent covering ground the phone could have covered, or book the consultation on a Thursday evening when the clinic is open until 9pm and the roads are quieter.
Appointments are one client at a time, so nothing runs to a bell. There is no queue behind you and no sense of being moved along at the end, which is the other half of why the trip is tolerable.
Before you set off
Bring photo ID, which is required with no exceptions, a list of anything you take regularly, and light make-up or none at all. A photograph from five or ten years ago is more useful than it sounds, because it shows what has actually changed rather than what you have got used to seeing.
Opening days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm, Thursday until 9pm, and Sunday closed. Parking is outside the door.
Questions people ask from Whitstable
Is it worth coming this far?
For a straightforward repeat of something you have had before, probably not, and you will be told that. For a proper assessment, a plan and one practitioner doing all of it, that is what the drive is for.
My skin is more of a problem than my lines. What helps?
Peels for pigmentation and sun damage from 110 pounds, microneedling with dermaplaning at 90 for texture and pores, PRP at 100, and the 5-point skin booster at 175 for hydration and firmness.
Do I really need two trips?
Yes. Nobody is treated at a first appointment. Ringing 01233 225684 beforehand gets a lot of the ground covered, so the consultation is spent on your face rather than on the basics.
