Aesthetics for Hythe
A proper treatment room up the M20, for a stretch of coast where most aesthetics arrives at your kitchen table.
- From Hythe
- M20 from junction 11
- A treatment room
- Not a front room
- Insured
- For every treatment offered
- Treated on the day
- No, never
Hythe is the M20 from junction 11 and off again at Charing, which makes it a quicker trip than the map suggests. There is less choice this side of Ashford, and what there is tends to come to you rather than the other way round.
A treatment room, rather than a kitchen table
Mobile aesthetics is common along this stretch of coast and on the Marsh behind it, and it can be done well. But a clinical room exists for reasons that are hard to reproduce in a front room: lighting you can actually assess a face in, a clean surface, nothing being carried in and out in a cool box.
It also means you can see where your practitioner works, which is a reasonable thing to want before anyone injects anything. The clinic is a private room on a residential close at Charing, nobody else is in the building, and you park outside the door.
Insurance, training and what sits behind the price
Lindsay Standen is qualified in Advanced Aesthetics and insured for every treatment offered, with regular further training on top. She trained as a Combat Medical Technician in the British Army in 1998, which is where the anatomy-first habit comes from.
Prices start at 85 pounds and the full list is published rather than quoted on the day. Nothing is sold as a package you have to commit to before you have seen how your own face responds to one session, and courses are only suggested where more than one session genuinely does more.
Prescription treatments, and the rule that changed in 2025
Some things on the price list say at consultation instead of a figure. That is the law rather than evasion: prescription-only treatments cannot be advertised or priced to the public in the UK, so they are named openly on the list and you are told the price when you ring or when you are in the room.
There is a second rule worth knowing before you book. Since June 2025 the prescribing regulators have required the prescriber to see you in person before anything prescription-only is prescribed. Any clinic offering to sort that remotely is not following it. Here the consultation has always been in person and separate from the treatment.
Appointments from the coast
The M20 makes the morning and late afternoon slots workable from Hythe, Seabrook, Sandgate and Dymchurch. Opening days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm, with Thursday running until 9pm, and Sunday closed.
Allow for two visits, because nobody is treated at a first appointment. Bring photo ID, which is required, and a list of any medication.
Questions people ask from Hythe
Someone offered to come to my house. Why not do that?
It can be done well, but a treatment room gives you lighting good enough to assess a face in, a clean surface, and somewhere you can see your practitioner actually works. That last one matters more than it sounds.
Can the prescription part be done over a video call?
No. Since June 2025 the prescribing regulators have required the prescriber to see you in person first. Anyone offering to arrange it remotely is not following that rule.
How long does it take from Hythe?
The M20 from junction 11 and off at Charing makes it shorter than the map suggests. Morning and late afternoon slots tend to work best from the coast.
