Aesthetics for Canterbury
A private room in a Kent village rather than a clinic on a city street, for people who would rather not be seen going in.
- From Canterbury
- A28 and A252 via Chilham
- Privacy
- Nobody else in the building
- Consultation
- Around 30 minutes
- Treated on the day
- No, never
From Canterbury it is the A28 and the A252 through Chilham, which is one of the better drives in the county and lands you on the A20 at Charing. A city has no shortage of clinics, so the reason to come out this way is not convenience.
Discretion, which a city centre cannot really offer
Canterbury is a small city and people know each other in it. A clinic on a central street, however good the practitioner, means a door onto a pavement where somebody you know may be walking past. For a treatment you would rather not explain at work, that is the wrong setting.
Charing is a village. The clinic is a private room on a residential close with nobody else in the building and no shared waiting area, and you park outside. Nobody is going to mention having seen your car.
What the drive buys you
Time, mostly. Appointments are one client at a time, so a consultation runs about half an hour and longer if you need it, and nothing is squeezed to keep a diary moving. Nobody is treated at a first appointment, which means you leave and think about it rather than deciding in a chair.
If you have already been quoted somewhere in the city, bring the quote. A second opinion on someone else's plan is a perfectly reasonable thing to book, and you will get a straight answer on whether it is the right one.
Skin rather than volume
A good share of what people in their thirties and forties actually want is better skin, not a different face. Skin boosters, microneedling with dermaplaning, peels and PRP all work on texture, pigmentation and hydration, and none of them change your proportions.
Dermaplaning and microneedling is 90 pounds a session, PRP using your own plasma is 100, peels start at 110 and the 5-point skin booster is 175. Skin rejuvenation is the part of the work Lindsay is most interested in, which is worth knowing if that is what you are coming for.
The appointment, and what to bring
Photo ID, with no exceptions, and a list of anything you take regularly. A photograph of yourself from five or ten years ago helps more than people think, and so does mentioning any dates coming up, because a wedding in three weeks changes what is sensible.
Come with light make-up or none. Thursday the clinic is open until 9pm, other opening days are 9am to 6pm, and Sunday is closed.
Questions people ask from Canterbury
Why would I drive out of Canterbury for this?
Mainly for privacy and for time. There is nobody else in the building, no reception desk and one client at a time, so the appointment is unhurried and nobody sees you arrive.
I have a quote from another clinic. Will you look at it?
Bring it. A second opinion on someone else's plan is a reasonable thing to book, and you will get a straight answer on whether the plan makes sense for your face.
I want better skin, not a different face. Is that a thing here?
It is the part of the list Lindsay is most interested in. Peels, microneedling with dermaplaning, PRP and skin boosters all work on texture, pigmentation and hydration without touching your proportions.
